I am a twenty-one year old junior. I was born in Kingsport, TN and lived there until I came to college in 1999. I originally came to Tennessee Tech to pursue a future in the civil engineering field. However, my mind was quickly changed after my first geology class. Now I am a geology major, with a minor in mathematics. Since being enrolled as a geology major, I have completed mineralogy/petrology and physical geology, and at the end of the spring 2002 semester will be able to add structural geology and geomorphology to the list. I have also been a teaching assistant for the past two semesters. I would like to continue my education after graduating from Tech and ultimately get a job pertaining to structural geology. On campus I like to stay active. I am a member of the Geoclub and Phi Gamma Delta, as well as being a Student Admissions Representative and a Student Alumni Ambassador. When I have free time, I like to mountain bike, hike, play foosball, ski, and spend time outdoors.
