The Mid-Tennessee Gem and Mineral Society is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational society dedicated to the study and enjoyment of the earth sciences. The Mid-Tennessee Gem and Mineral Society is a member of the Southeast Federation of Mineralogical Societies which is a member of the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies.  The Mid-Tennessee Gem and Mineral Society is open to the public for the education of all who wish to attend.

bulletCoffee County Senior Citizens Center (Tullahoma, TN) - Meets at 3:00 PM on the 2nd Sunday of the month.  The meeting location is at 410 North Collins Street in Tullahoma, TN.
bulletFiftyForward Donelson Station (Previously the Donelson Senior Center) - Meets on the 3rd Sunday of the month.  The meeting location is at 108 Donelson Pike in Nashville (Donelson), TN.
bulletMid-South Faceting Guild meets at 2:00 PM in the Art Room
bulletDonelson meets at 3:00 PM
bulletThe Mid-Tennessee Gem and Mineral Society meets at 7:00 PM every 3rd Thursday of the month. The meeting location is at "Earth Experience" the Middle Tennessee Museum of Natural History located at 816 Old Salem Rd, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.

These meetings are all open to the public for the education of all who wish to attend.  Visitors are always welcome!

Schools

In co-ordination with with the Donelson and Tullahoma senior centers, the MTGMS provides instructors and equipment for lapidary and associated classes.  Classes are open to adults 21 and older.

Newsletter

The monthly publication "The Society Messenger" is the newsletter of the Mid-Tennessee Gem and Mineral Society.

Field Trips

Field trips to collecting sites are continually being planned. Details are available in the newsletter and at the meetings.  Because of policy, any private collecting site information cannot be distributed to the general public.

The MTGMS is a member of the Dixie Mineral Council
